Lead Teacher Position

AMI Montessori Education Certificate

Our Lead Teacher possesses extensive experience with teaching in a Montessori Preschool and can demonstrate expertise in the full Montessori academic curriculum. The overall responsibility will be to oversee the classroom activities and the children’s well-being.

Requirement

Excellent communication skills.
Experience in curriculum development & implementation.
Supervision/management skills,

A Montessori teacher in this position would be a role model and leader among the teachers in the school, and would directly supervise all Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and/or Teacher Aides.

The Lead Teacher applicant should have a certificate in AMI Montessori Education and a minimum of 24 ECE units. Possession of a Child Development Teacher Permit or Master Teacher Permit and/or AA or higher degree is highly desirable. Pediatric CPR/First Aid Training is a plus.

Our Montessori Teachers

This position requires a positive, creative, experienced individual who can work collaboratively with others and has evidence of growth over time in their understanding of child development and learning.

6 ECE units and formal Montessori training is required.

Previous Montessori teaching experience is a plus.

The Ideal candidates are not limited to but could include currently working with students in early childhood education, or recent graduates of a formal ECE or Montessori certificate program.

12 or more ECE units, formal Montessori training, and experience are required.
